Very diverse school with a great variety of activities. Many students have moved to the area from different states and areas so new students fit in easily as there are many other new students. I attended Ridge for my senior year in 2010. I met great people who are my closest friends to this day and I met the love of my life at Ridge. Great AP teachers amazing proms and fun graduation ceremony. Once a bolt Always a Bolt! C/O 2011

I really like the clubs. and the teachers teach really well and connect with students on a personal level.

First of all I have been attending Ridge community since the ninth grade and I must say It has so much to offer to the student whether it is arts sports or JROTC it has it.When it comes to classes teachers push their students to become responsible hardworking individuals. Also advanced placement classes honors as well as college classes are all offered at the school thus increasing the quality of the students and learning for all. Most importantly The principal at Ridge community thinks of the students as her children so she never puts differences between any of them she is always supportive of clubs sports arts Etc.The student body is a Family which works hard to represent the school well.

This school is one of the worst I have attended. They don't want you to learn they want you to just pass the FCAT. All they care about is a paycheck. Even the students are proud of failing their tests and they have no respect what so ever. Not to mention that if you are a freshman you HAVE to join ROTC. Its not even a choice. All that principle cares about is her values. If you care about your education REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A SCHOOL.

When my son entered ninth grade I was terrified! Ridge Community has been a wonderful safe place for my son to grow and learn. The principal is caring involved and listen to parents and students. We had an issue with a class and she allowed me to advocate for my son and get his schedule changed. There is so many things the students can get involved with - and so many opportunites if you take advantage. I am so happy that my son is a student at Ridge - this are of the county seems to get a bad name but there are many great things going on.

I have been attending Ridge Community High School as a freshman This year has been the best of all my years in the Polk County School System The teachers are the best always willing able and ready to help with any problem or concern that I might have with the material presented. This year I have had many c choices as I plan for my three years ahead the guidance department has been most helpful in assisting me with my career path I am planning to participate in the program that allows me to earn my High School Diploma and credits for college at the same time. I recommend this school to others looking to a school that prepares you for the years ahead.

This school is one of the best of the best We are proud our child is a student at this school as there is no question the school staff teachers all work together to guide and lead their students into the future. Always willing to help and available if needed to provide that extra help.

The atmosphere is great. The administration TERRIBLE. First they force the kids to take ROTC even if they don't want to over some "Leadership Skills" B.S. when the kids just get yelled at by bossy upperclassmen and the artsy kids are unfortunately forced into conformity. They also take this ROTC thing TOO seriously. Those bossy Upperclassmen yell at the kids outside of ROTC and the seargants allow it. Kids are also reprimanded for missing a drill step by ONE centimeter. They empower the bossy kids and degrade the poor artsy types and forces them to be controlled. Second they mess with the kids education putting the kids in classes they don't need delaying getting credits. Every time you have a question or concern they catch an attitude. I am very disappointed with the administration

This school has the craziest way of scheduling students. They are lumped into one of two tracks either ALL honors classes or NO honors classes which is difficult for students who do well but struggle in specific areas. They do not allow non honors freshman to take any social studies or history classes and they force almost all students into rotc even when the student does not want to be there. Electives are limited foreign languages are limited opportunity is limited by scheduling tracks. Overall administration just seems like any question you have is bothering them. That said there are some excellent teachers the school seems safe other than the one teacher arrested earlier this year and it has a lovely campus.

Well I am new here but I think this school is excellent because from where I am there isn't even the 10% of what this school has...I like sports and in this school I find everything I could ever wish for.

Although there are many elements that bring this school down if you are lucky enough you'll get great teachers and have a bright future ahead.

I have two children that attend RCHS. The school has many activities to choose from which keeps the students safe and away from unsafe behavior. The staff is very helpful professional and nice. The principal cares for the students as if they were her own. The moral is great my children are proud to be a "Bolt"

this school sucks. the teachers can care less about you actually learning seems like all they want is a pay check. i went here for 1 year then left for a private school i wasn't learning anything to prepare me for college. all they want is to get you to pass the FCAT then they can care less about what ever else we learn.

This school is very up to date on tech. The teachers are not all great. This school is okay.

School has the latest technology which is a plus but teachers are intimidated by students. Low test scores and poor school guidance by the director.

This school is a great school to learn at because one of my kids go there and any time I have a problem the teachers/adminstration are a great help.

poor administrative class the good-behaved students suffer from the bad behaved- through classes and a ridiculous lunch procedure. Some students in AP shouldn't be there. Some great teachers others mediocre.
