this is a wonderful school...my daughter is doing so well in this school the teachers are amazing with the students as big as the school it definitely has that small town school feel and I couldn't be happier with my daughters education at hps.

This school is the greatest school out of all the schools I went to. This schools gives you alot of options and aftter school activities. I am a 7th grader at this school. I love the teachers;they are cool and fun! But the one thing that I dislike is the houses. They started a new house system. Instead of having 2 houses there is now 4. Da Vinci house Poe house Franklin house and Pythagorous house. They have started this 4house system last year when I was in 6th grade and i am in Da Vinci. And it stinks like butt. I am in a house that doesnt care at all and we lose all events. I wish I was in Poe. Also the lunch system stinks to. I have been seperated from all my friends;I am completely bored. They have changed the lunches from homeroom to now houses and since im in DV house and ALL my friends are in Poe I have been seperated!!!! >=(. Anyway this school is awsome educationally but not socially ( In my opinion).

I love this school. Priceless memories with every inch of the asphalt playground. Its more of through the people that I learned about life in general.

My best experiences were at HPS i was a former student started there since first grade. The teachers there are great they prepare you so well for the finals that it is almost impossible to fail the G.E.P.A. They have started new programs such as the Lee House and Barbour House it was great it made us interact with other kids and have fun in a competitive way. This school has so much to offer from my experience i think many would love for their children to attend this expectacular school. Liz

I have a daughter that went to Haledon Public School from K thru 8th grade and I must say HPS is one of the BEST public schools in Passaic County. She was an honor roll student from 4th thru 8th grade part of the Gifted and Talented Education classes took honors algebra courses and even went to Manchester High School for algebra during her 8th grade year. This school trully prepared her for high school and continually challenged her as well as stimulated her mind. My son started in HPS in Pre K and is now in 1st grade and my experience continues to be a positive one with the teachers staff and curriculum of Haledon Public School.

I'm very happy with Haledon Public I have to children in the school system presently. My younger is in their special ed pre-k for speech. In 3 months I can hear a great change in his vocabulary and speech. Both my children enjoy school and love their teachers. They also love the principal every chance they get they reach out to say hi or give him a hug. Our principal is very involved with the education of our children and so are all the teachers and support staff. You can find the principal teachers support staff and PTA. They attend town events that the children are participating in such as athletics concerts parades tree lighting etc. They have a genuine concern for our children and work closely with the parents to insure a great education. Team Work is the only way to insure SUCCESS with our Children. I feel we have it!

I went to this school until 8th grade. i am currently in high school. i loved my experience there. the teachers are more interested in helping students than just failing them. Children are encouraged to work harder. The students are very advanced because the teachers are so talented.
