Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA)

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The PSSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Pennsylvania. This school makes me so proud to be apart of the Harrisburg school district. Also known as sci-tech high school this learning institute goes above and beyond. I am a soon to be Alumni and I am confident to go on to the collegiate level. Sci-tech high has not been established for very long but in the years it has been it has excelled in academics raised the rate of students graduating and going to college and gave the college bound students of harrisburg schools a place that focuses on getting students ready for college.
