I think that the principal teachers and staff are very professional. Despite they do not have enough support (money) to have a specialist in gift education programs the school is doing great. I am a substitute teacher .

I had a child in this school and was a substitute. The best thing I can say is thank God for the 6th grade teachers if they weren't there kids would not learn anything. Being a parent and substitute I get to see both sides and that picture is pretty bad on the other side. Teachers moan and groan about all the work the board puts on them. How horrible the kids are and how they have no time to do anything. If they didn't want to teach our children and do the work why are they teachers? These poor kids are coming out of that school unable to read at an acceptable reading level. Once a week for 10 minutes classes do a writing drill that's a joke these kids have no idea how to write. This school and board should be ashamed to themselves!

Hart county middle school is a place that I dread attending every morning. The teachers lack interest in our education often its the students fault they didn't ask for extra help but it is the teachers place to make sure that we understand the work we are given. I personally believe it is a waste of life attending this school. Not only do I dislike this school because of its poor teaching ways but I think that the law on bullying is is way over stressed at this school yet there are still bullies which teachers continue to ignore and nothing has been done about this even after the students have informed the teachers and staff of this! This is a one of a kind school!

I have put 2 children through the HCMS. I am constantly amazed at the total lack of interest that the faculty shows these kids. They are punished with 'rack points' for the slightest infraction. My son stopped at his locker to get a book for class - he was 'racked' for doing so. If he had not stopped to get the book for class he would have been 'racked' for not having the materials required for class. Makes no sense to me - it was a lose-lose situtation for him. My niece has had countless days of 'silent lunch' this year. Not through any fault of her own. Just because it was determined that the lunch-room as a whole was being too loud. These kids can't talk in class and now they aren't allowed to talk during lunch???

I love this school as a student but there are some teachers who don't seem to enjoy teaching very much. .

The teachers and staff at this school seem indifferent. There is a lack of professionalism in the teachers and office staff. Sports are highly stressed academics and the arts are secondary. There is a lack of communication between parents and teachers. When teachers are contacted by parents there is very little response. The parents are blamed for the successfulness of their children rahter then the inadequacies of the teachers and BOE.

this school really needs to buckle down and bring those crct test scores up they show when all the other schools in the county are making higher then them.
