Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT)

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.

We have had several of our children attend this school and all have begged us over the years to move so they can attend another school. We have had difficulty with the Principal who has a better then you I can do what I want and when I want to do it and there is not holding him accountable by the District Office even when documents show and indicate so. Having no other choice we deal and work the best we can within the circumstances. The school wants to portray it is going to be the best but don't demonstrate it by any means and the site based council "Zero Homework Turn-in Policy" is just another attempt to punish the students and parents. Lets look into why so many students are not completing assignments and see where the problems really are.

Had a great experience with some teachers. The principal has been disrespectful and arrogant in his interactions with me and my spouse. He is more interested in maintaining his authority than showing compassion and meeting the needs of his special ed students. We are leaving the school. I am worried about students with autism in this setting.

Congrats sounds like you have a good team. I never get study guides emailed to me. That would be wonderful as my child has a tendency to not get them into his journal. When that happens...you're done. You don't have access to the material to study so you will not only get a failing grade on the journal but also get a failing grade on the test. I'm all for accountability but making a child create his own textbook is ridiculous. Miss a day and your child will be digging through a box of papers trying to find the material. Glad your child like glue and scissors. Star performers do well. Average kids struggle. Guess me and mine are just part of the 99%

My son goes here. I love the teachers that he has. The email me to keep me up to date on what is going on with class. They also send me study guides so I can help me son study. No they do not use text books the journals are way more effective. The teachers give them the information they need to succeed. It is up to the child to use the info and make the best of it! My son loves this feature here at connor!

The kids are nice the teachers are helpful and will guide you. The classes are lengthy and packed with knowledge! Along with experiments and games for a fun view. The food activities and everything is great!

I feel the school promotes a high quality education and a genuine interest in each child as individuals. I am very pleased with how the school operates.

I'm a student at connor and I believe all the programs there are excellent!

My son has attended since 6th grade and although the punishments are harsh at times he enjoys attending. He loves all his teachers. The Band is excellent and if you want your child to play in a Concert Band or an Orchestra - CMS has the best program I've seen around.

Its ok the punishments are harsh but rarely fair. The Extracurricluar activities are good. The Band and Orchestra Program is alright along with chorus. Its not a good school over all.

I attend conner middle and I've been there for two years now. My opinion is it's an all around good school. Especially since they have updated and been less 'harsh' about their dress code. It makes us students happy at least! The other activities are great also like chorous guiatar basketball and even a student peer mediation class. This school also has spectacular acidemic programs. So I'm just gonna say this is a great school.

This is a great school! I loved my 6th grade year and i'm looking forward to going this year. The new dress code allows pictures and words on your shirts and the activites and ways of showing school spirit are always fun and creative! this is a 5 star school that your kids should go to!!!

I think Conner middle schools dress code for the 6th grade this year is exellent! I think it was hard on the kids when alot of the teachers went to camp ersnt middle school. The kids now arent sure what teachers are in what family.

This is a good school. It has a lot of programs for kids the only bad thing is the dress code its not good at all so dont go bevcause of it.
