JR Tucker High School is extremely diverse. We all are from across the world. Though there are many different nations and languages at the school we all are united by our passion for being apart of the Tiger Nation.

Tucker is amazing! The diversity just makes the school so much more fun! And the fries are love!

Tucker is a good place to be. We learn about real world situations and learn from our differences. There is 'unity in diversity' and we have to work on it continuously.

I'm a current student here. I love it so much I am going into my Sophmore year of highschool. Freshman Year i met a lot of teachers through sports and clubs. They all made me feel so welcomed. There's one particular teacher that always makes me feel better when i am saddened or having rough time. He got me into school activities and made freshman year a breeze for me. He's always gonna be there for his kids he's absolutely one of the best teachers on campus. Mr.John Amoroso is the guy! He would always put his kids before him especially when a kid didnt have money for lunch or wasn't feeling good he would try his best to be there for them. I wouldnt wanna go to another high school i fit in here best with all the diversity and cultures that Tucker has to give. i love it so much. I say we really do have the most school spirit in the county! Go tigers!(

Tucker is an excellent school most people think it's a bad school but It really isn't. You can wear whatever you want and nobody makes fun of you or teases you and nobody cares. It's a wonderful place to be.

Currently I am a senior at Tucker High School and will truly miss this school when I leave for college. The past four years have been great and everyone has helped each other to grow and develop. My favorite teachers are at Tucker and so are the people I have met. Fights are everywhere and I believe that Tucker students are especially accepting of all people no matter how they are dressed or where they come from. Many do not believe students are smart or driven but I believe Tucker students are especially driven because of this stereotype. I think it is wrong that people judge Tucker by its appearance or the small population of students that cause trouble (that can be found at any school). My experience could not have been greater at any other school

The faculty at Tucker really cares about the students. Most teachers are more like mentors to the students. The administration works hard to address even the smallest problems head-on and the vast majority of students are driven and are actively involved in honors and AP classes not to mention our Foreign Lanuage Immersion Program. I wouldn't want to teach at any other school in the county. I love it here!

I went to tucker for 2.5 years. In this time I found it to be over crowded unsafe and an overall bad learning invironment. There were few decent teachers and even fewer good teachers. There were consistant fights and constant problems that were eithor ignored or not dealt with properly by the administration.

Although Tucker has had it's downs (fights etc.) it's a great school! Everyone is welcoming and nice. I feel very lucky to go to a great school like Tucker!

I am a Current Freshmen at Tucker and I was Scared to come to this school at first. All The Stories and other things that I've heard about how horrible the teachers and blah blah blah. In My first week Tucker was great Basically everyone gets along. There isn't a Majority Group there. It's all even and Diverse. Tucker has the most school spirit i have seen from any other school. Although some of our sports aren't the best we all show up no matter home or away. Tucker Truly is The Henrico's Native Schhol.

If your child is a Henrico County native by all means send him/her to Tucker. But if you are transferring a student think again. I just transferred to Tucker at the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year and it is a miserable year. I entered school optimistic and excited but the students are snobby and rude. I've never met such an unwelcoming group of students. I am the most talkative outgoing easy-to-get-along-with person there ever was and I have always made friends easily. But it is impossible at Tucker. Most of the academics are better but in my AP English class I feel way less than challenged. The organization of the school is chaos and the open campus is problematic with bad weather. Please think twice before you send your children here. My parents want to transfer me to Deep Run...and I don't believe Tucker's rumors about Deep Run at all.

I am a big fan of Tucker High. Tucker is welcoming and accepting of every culture. Students here get an outstanding education and the teachers are some of the most passionate and personable people I've ever had the priviledge to meet. We the students strive and compete for excellence without cutting each others throats in the process.

I am a 2003 graduate and i truly enjoyed my experience at tucker. I found so many different places to find my 'niche' and so many clubs that i truly felt i had a full 4 years. I truly miss this school. Although during the rain the awnings tend to leak overall the campus is beautiful. The only down side is that you can tell which clique you belong to depending on where you lived. I enjoyed various groups of friends from different backgrounds and ethnicities. The great thing about this school is that the teachers actually care! they work hard to help students in difficult situations and those who need tutoring. At tucker most students find friends for life. I know i certainly met a great group of friends. I cannot wait until my 10 year class reunion! im looking foward to seeing my classmates again!

I am a recent graduate of Tucker HS and I feel this is by far the greatest school I could have gone to. The one thing that I feel makes this school as good as it is are the students themselves. The school has a balanced diversity and students are not forced into 'clicks'. I have discovered over the four years I attended Tucker that the vast majority of Teachers have an earnest desire to pass something on through their students.I would say that the leadership of the school is exemplarary and even though the entire school population isn't packed with angels your child can rest assured that the school administrators will go over and above to keep the school safe keep it educational and do it in a caring innovative and professional way.

As a J.R.T. alumni I truly believe that Tucker has countless opportunities to offer in every area of importance in favor of students and their families. Without a doubt Tucker has established itself to be well-known for diversity and acceptance. I feel the students and faculty work together to make Tucker an enjoyable place. I loved every minute of my high school experience and I attribute my appreciation of high school to the incredible faculty and staff as well as my uncomparable graduating class. Like in all things high school is simply another step of like in which you get out what you put in. Tucker is a wonderful high school!
