Carroll County High school has been under construction for the past two years. Students have gone to school during construction both indoor & outdoor construction. This school year 2013-2014. The children returned to school while new HVAC is being replaced. The children have no ac and only fans to move air. The superintendent of the school system says the system may not be complete til Nov. He also states "it is what it is". Unacceptable!!!!

Carroll County High School has one of the most impressive campuses in the state. As travelers pass through our county on highways 58 and 221 they can sense the pride and support this community gives to its children. I especially appreciate relationships teachers and coaches at CCHS build with their students. My child is not an athlete but has found function and purpose in the varied clubs and activities in the school. Thanks for helping our children grow to be productive citizens.

I am very pleased with the safety practices in place. In only one of my child's classes he is actually challenged.I am tired of him doing worksheets and watching current movies and writing reviews in his other classes. Teachers should teach and not use class time to grade papers. Teachers should not let students grade other students work. The sports program have always been top notch but that should not be what the school is known for. The vice-principals are excellent! The principal leaves much to be desired. Not a good listener. Not a good leader. Too many inexperienced teachers. No tenure. Request that your child's teacher send home papers to be signed and returned.

I believe that Carroll County has a lot to offer. In this area it is the only school that offers the nursing classes for free. It also offers mechanics workshop and electronics. It has many academic programs that prepare students for the outside world. Being affiliated with Wytheville Community College is also a great assest as it gets students ready for college and sometimes even a head start. The staff is also wonderful. Being an alumni of Carroll County myself I can say that the staff will go out of their way to help you in any way that they can. Also the environment is very inviting and allows plenty of creativity. It's just wonderful.

Excellent school wonderful curriculum. The 4 by 4 block scheduling is perfect and this school has an immense amount of electives that vary widely giving all students a chance to explore areas they would otherwise not get to experience.
