Villa San Pasqual, designed by noted architect/builder, Lionell V. Mayell, was designated as a City Landmark in 2005 and awarded the Mills Act Contract in 2008.
Prominently situated at the corner of San Pasqual and South Catalina, Villa San Pasqual is a garden-style complex where the main structures are centered around a landscaped courtyard and the detached garages are to the rear of the property.
Located at the front of the complex, my unit is a one bedroom, one bath unit with 957 square feet. Retaining much of the original features; hardwood floors, steel windows, and built-in cabinets -- this unit is a wonderful opportunity to own a piece of Pasadena history.
The large living room offers a glass sliding door which brings in natural light and showcases the courtyard. Off the dining area is the kitchen which includes yellow counter top tile, wood cabinetry, and a back door that offers easy access to the laundry room and garage. With multiple built-in closets, the central hall leads into the bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom offers pink counters and floor tile and a separate bathtub and walk-in shower. The bedroom is very roomy and gets a lot of light.
