This is well built and updated "Old Florida Ranch" built and "hardened" to withstand Hurricanes. Almost no damage in direct hit by Hurricane Charley in 2004. It has classic terrazo tile throughout with new double pane vinyl windows all around. The home is on an oversized "key lot" with 130' of seawall on the "Yacht Club Channel". It is 5 minutes from open water sailing on the deepest channel in Punta Gorda Isles.
Neighborhood Description
Punta Gorda Isles ("PGI") is the Premium Waterfront Subdivision in Charlotte County and Punta Gorda. It is a "Deed-Restricted" Subdivision first developed in the 1960s on 54 miles of dredged, deep water canals with direct access to Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico. The canals have a continuous cement seawall sytem which is owned and maintained by the City of Punta Gorda ($400/yr per property owner) which is unique in Florida. There is great pride of ownership in the entire community and PGI is arguably the best waterfront community in S. Florida navigationally and value wise. It is located in Punta Gorda, an historical community with a "small town" (20,000 residents year round) feeling. 

What I love about the home

Classic "Retro" Old Florida Home updated with deep water sailboat dockage and Gulf/Harbor access within five minutes. Great water view of one of the largest basins in Punta Gorda Isles. Large open floorplan with separate lanai/cage areas for pool and hot tub off master bedroom.
