A Rent Zestimate® is Zillow's estimated monthly rental price, computed using a proprietary formula. It is a starting point in determining the monthly rental price for a specific property.
There are three levels, the bottom one being the basement, which is currently rented to a very nice and quiet young couple. We'd like to keep them as tenants. The basement is separated from the upper floors and has its own entrance. The only way to get to it is from the outside. Sound insulation is very good - the only time you can hear anything from the basement is if someone yells (but they don't). So in terms of safety and security, there is nothing to worry about. As mentioned, the basement tenants have been there for a year with zero problems and I'd be happy to introduce them to all prospective tenants.
Laundry is located in a shared space in the basement. It's a bit of unique arrangement, but it has worked great for us.
Utilities are partially included (see terms of lease), but you are responsible for cable/internet/phone.
Great location, especially if you work in Reston, Ashburn, Sterling, Leesburg or along the Dulles toll corridor. 10 minutes to Dulles airport. 15 minutes to Reston town center. Walking distance to Safeway, very close to Walmart, Dulles town center mall, Wegmans, and many other shopping centers. The neighborhood is an older Sterling neighborhood, very quite, safe, with many long-time residents. And the neighbors actually talk to each other :-)
Why am I renting the house? My wife is starting school in Maryland and we decided that it will be best for us to temporarily move closer to her college until she is done. We don't want to sell the house and don't want it to be vacant for two years, so we decided to rent it. We are planning to come back here eventually so, naturally, I'm interested in maintaining it in the best possible shape. I will work closely with tenants and do everything I can to make the lease as enjoyable and as problem-free as possible!

Minimum 1-year lease, $1700/month, $1500 security deposit required.
Utilities: owner pays first $100 of monthly electric bill (during 2014, our average monthly bill was $225), first $25 of monthly water bill (during 2014, our average month bill was $50) and garbage collection. Basically, the tenant is responsible only for the remainder of water and electric, plus cable/internet/phone.
