My Notes

Edit
LOWER PRICE - Originally built in 1948 then tastefully remodeled in 2009-10. This is virtually a new home. The following features are new: 30yr architectural roof, siding, windows throughout, insulation, flooring, walls, doors, 93% gas furnace, water heater. Kitchen: new stainless appliances, granite tile countertops, custom cabinetry. New laminate floors, refinished oak hardwood floors, refinished fir floors, carpet. Oversize master with wall to wall closets. Beautiful bathroom with granite top vanity. Level lot with beautiful, low maintenance landscaping, fully fenced yard and the nicest lawn in the neighborhood!
Neighborhood Description
St. Johns was at one time a city unto itself. Eventually annexed by Portland, St. Johns has a long history and boasts one of the most beautiful suspension bridges on the west coast. The downtown area is in the process of a transformation with new shops going in and a walker friendly atmosphere. The house is about 10 minutes walk from downtown shops, dining and coffee shops. The area has an extensive network of walking/bike paths that take you through local neighborhoods south to University of Portland and north into an extensive wetland/wildlife area.

What I love about the home

This is a very quiet house. Well insulated, it stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. My favorite part though is the private courtyard behind the black wrought iron entry gate. This is a wonderful space for plants and a bistro table, so relaxing. The style and design inside are contemporary and a real pleasure to come home to. There's a bus stop one block away!
