My Notes

Edit
Fantastic house in close proximity to transit and shopping in the Northgate area. We restored this wonderful house and added some snazzy features for those who rent a private room and share the common areas. There are two sides to this house the house itself, and the philosophy we built into it.
THE PHILOSOPHY. We know some renters want more than a room in a nice house, and are concerned about the planet we leave behind. We know that part of the solution for a sustainable planet Is to grow and share vegetables from your own garden, so we have built a large greenhouse garden using harvested rainwater to raise the GMO-free veggies you want for your body and the planet. The greenhouse is designed for year-round growing and one plot is included for each renter. We provide the space, organic soil and seeds. You can participate in growing, or just pick from a section that we maintain for you. The first crops will be planted this week so come reserve your plot.
THE HOUSE. We didn't play it safe we embraced energetic color schemes. The kitchen and dining area are large and can accommodate gatherings. We do have a couple of roommates with allergies (gluten and peanut) so we are looking for people who can be sensitive in that area. Speaking of roommates, this special house will appeal to those who are clean, quiet, kind, respectful, good communicators and employed.
We are very supportive of your transportation needs. We have several bikes available; try one and if you decide to commute by bike, you can rent it for only $25/month. Parking in the driveway (off the street) is an extra $50/month. There's a bus stop at the end of the block and the big Northgate transit center is in walking distance.
Rent includes all utilities, high-speed internet, wireless, and weekly cleaning service for the common areas.
As spring approaches we are building out the back yard space to include a water feature, patio, gas grill, dining table and fire pit. We think it's important to have a Zen space outdoors that brings people together or lets them find some tranquil space.
AVAILABLE NOW. Come see it. 1034 NE 102nd St., Seattle WA 98125. Please call or text first: 206-229-8080.

Market guide

Zillow predicts Maple Leaf home values will rise 7.7% next year, compared to a 7.6% rise for Seattle as a whole. Among Maple Leaf homes, this home is valued 24.9% more than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 60.3% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In Maple Leaf, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 10.2% greater than in Seattle, and 2.9% greater than the national average. This higher local number may prevent Maple Leaf home values from rising as quickly as other regions in Seattle.
