The homeowners are sad to leave this home but their growing family needs more space. Bridgette remembers when they first found the home: "I remember how exhausted we were after hunting for a first house for months with a newborn baby in tow and not finding anything that we could both be excited about and afford! We drove to the Carrington Woods subdivision to check out a listing we found on MLS. When we turned into the neighborhood, I said out loud, ?Okay, now we?re talking.? The houses were all well-maintained and not all cookie-cutter similar; the lot sizes were nice and spacious, and there were so many trees! I wasn?t too excited about the house we came to check out, but just as we was driving away, I happened to notice a ?For Sale? sign right around the corner. The first things I noticed were all the beautiful maple trees and crepe myrtles in the front yard and the lovely front porch and swing. As we pulled into the driveway, I smiled at the pretty brick planter and split driveway. I couldn?t help myself. We got out and peeked in the front windows and over the fence into the back yard. It was so beautiful: A fenced in backyard with rock landscaping, dogwoods, camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas and a serene, pebbled walkway around the perimeter! I rushed back to the car and set up a showing for the first available time slot. Two months and ten years later, we have no regrets. Our family expanded to two little ones who made lots of wonderful friends with great neighbors over the years. We love all the natural light throughout the house, the romantic little pond in the back, the eat-in kitchen, all the closet space, the diverse, quiet neighborhood, the convenience of I-540, the lovely wood floors, the beautiful yard, all the great memories of cookouts and get-togethers on the deck under blue NC skies, and so much more. 104 Southampton Drive was good to us?a gift and a blessing.
