This is "Norwegian Wood," a well loved house within a lovely, popular neighborhood where people gather for neighborhood picnics, bbqs, and the big annual Halloween parade. This beautiful house is unlike any other because it has a double lot, which reaches nearly an acre. Owners get the beauty of living in a quaint neighborhood with the added benefit of privacy, as the house is far back from the road and is set in it's own bubble. The houses in the neighborhood are charming all around, offering pretty views peeking in between huge mature trees. The house was bought almost 4 years ago, but the family is suddenly relocating back to the UK. Lots of improvements have been made in the last four years including: two high velocity air conditioning systems, which cover all three floors, new windows, fencing the entire property as well as the perimeter of the back yard, installed a custom built playhouse with slide and swings, ADT security system that can be controlled with your smartphone whilst you are away, and it has just been hooked up to a new water mains, so it is no longer attached to the original galvanized pipes. The house was built in 1929, with great care and skill. The craftsmanship and artistry of detail is not found today in newer homes. There is also plenty of storage space: large closets, built ins (dining room and living room), and a 900 sq ft basement. The sun room, which is off of the living room, is a great place to relax with some music and whine, enjoying the views of the gardens. The outside has different functional spaces and gardens that make it great for entertaining. Children love the play area and the huge field to run around. It's a just such a whimsical place when the flowers are out. The double car garage looks like a quaint cottage with a slate roof. This house was bought to be a forever home, and has been spoiled in its caring.
