What I love
Very quiet with just the occasional distant boat on the lake to remind you that your not in the wilderness. Beautiful Spring flowers, wonderful views in every direction. Thundering waterfall after winter storms. Friendly neighbors. Hardware store/post office and convenience store just five minutes away; Chico has all the stores you're used to (Trader Joe's, Costco, Orchard Supply Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes, Raley's, Safeway, Peet's Coffee and Starbucks) as well as a cute old time downtown with funky antique stores, tasty but inexpensive restaurants (haute cuisine, too!) and a Farmer's Market every Saturday. Enjoy free live music on the square in the Summer. And who can forget the Sierra Nevada Brewery and restaurant, and the close by wineries? Fantastic fishing and rafting in the Feather River, doorstep access to hiking, mountain biking, and skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
