The home was built circa 1995 as a single story frame stucco (wood frame 2x6) with a finished basement. It had one bedroom on the main level and one in the lower level. In 2004 a remodel was completed, with an addition of approx. 1350 SF on the main level and a 2 car garage, with separate laundry room and shop which are heated and air-conditioned. The roof was reconfigured with a composite shingle cover to be more in keeping with the Historic look of the area. Cement floors were poured and acid stained with colors, with tile in the kitchen and office/bedroom. The floor plan is open but has a warm and welcoming feeling. The master bedroom has a large Tuscan looking walk in shower and has a walk-in closet. The lower level is large with a bedroom, siting room & full bath for guests It offers nice indirect light from 8 foot window wells. Outside there are 3 patios, one brick with vine covered arches, one desert with professional shades and misting system, and a third containing a lemon and Mexican lime tree.
Neighborhood Description
This home is in the coveted Willo Historic District, located on a cul-de-sac of a beautifully tree and palm lined street, where when you stroll friendly neighbors greet you, often inviting you to join in a conversation and refreshments on their front lawn or porch. The location offers privacy and a real feeling of home. Neighbors share in holidays and special event pot luck if you wish to participate, and all support the security of one another. AND it is animal friendly too!
 

What I love about the home

The large 'flying shades' over the east side patio is like another large room, with a fabulous mister system. Inside, the home brings together various colors and textures in an open flow concept, very conducive to entertaining. A gourmet kitchen & appliances with copper counters complement the lovely dark oak shutters over arched windows and rich oak cabinets. The acid stained cement floors add color and depth to the overall feel of the home. Overnight guests are in total privacy in the downstairs 720+ SF quarters.
