Unit does not come with central air, washer, dryer, stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, or furniture. Stove hook-up is gas only. Dryer hook-up is gas or electric. Laundry hook-ups in the basement.
Tenant must pay $435 a month rent plus their own electric, water, sewage, and gas. All utilities are separate from the adjoining unit. Please do not ask what the utilities cost as we do not know. We have never lived there so we do not know this.
Freshly painted. Carpets freshly scrubbed.
It's almost maintenance free. Obviously the tenant must keep the inside clean as well as their half of the front porch, their main steps, and the sidewalk in between them and the other neighbor's house. We do all repairs inside and out. We do all updates to the property. We take care of almost everything. You simply have to keep the place clean inside and out. We even change light bulbs!
Please no party people.
We will not change the carpeting, flooring in the kitchen and/or bathroom, nor repaint. We will not customize the unit for anyone. You rent it as is. This does not mean the unit is in bad condition. It means that we have had too many people want to change a place that they do not own. We have chosen neutral colors. We do not allow the tenants to repaint or remodel in any way.

Neighborhood Description
There isn't much to tell other than it's usually very quiet except for the trains that are about 3 blocks away. There isn't any crime in the neighborhood. Most of the people are older, 70 or over. There are a few families with smaller children nearby.
 

What I love about the home

The area is very quiet. Most of the neighbors are older (70 or older) with the exception of a few that have small children. The area that we are in does not get a lot of snow unless there's a blizzard. All of the neighbors keep to themselves so there's no "busy bodies" in the area. It is within 3 blocks from a grocery store, Eat N' Park, and a few other stores. The 88 transit bus lines are 1 block away. It is a very quiet neighborhood.
