The basement is a basic unfinished basement for laundry and storage only. It is not living space. There is laundry hook-ups in the basement. The dryer can be gas or electric. The stove, however, can only be gas. The heat is gas. It does not come with any appliances. The tenant must supply their own appliances. The 1 bedroom is very very small. It does have a dinning room and a living room. There are front and rear entrances. The front porch is newer along with some of the windows. The entire house was completely rewired in 2000 including the electrical service. The hot water tank and furnace are both newer. We shampoo the carpets twice a year so they are in very good condition. The carpets were just scrubbed in April. The bathroom only has a bath tub. There is no shower. There is no way to install a shower. It's a tub only.
The neighborhood is usually very quiet. There are trains about 3 or 4 blocks away, children who occasionally go to the vacant school on the hill to play, little or no crime in the neighborhood. We have owned the home for almost 13 years and to our knowledge, there has never been a home invasion in this neighborhood in those 13 years.
