This beautiful, stately, 2 storey brick Greek Revival style home, built in 1912, is located in the heart of the Pensacola Historical District of North Hill a nationally listed historical home. This property is located on a double inside lot. The home is located only minutes from the business and entertainment centers, including the new ballfield and in progress Maritime Park of Pensacola. The home is situated on one of the lots and the adjacent lot is used as a flower and fruit tree park. New wiring throughout was done in 2006, as well as central air and heat, and a security system. The home is absolutely stunning from the outside with its red , 3 thickness brick, magnificent white columns, crowned by the original Bordeaux tile roof. Inside, you will find architecture and workmanship from a long past era. Beautifully kept original heart pine floors, crown molding, original lighting fixtures, as well as large picture windows are located on both floors. Two large pillars are placed at the entrance to the formal living room leading from the parlor. Pocket doors separate the formal living room and the formal dining room. The very large formal dining room has 5 inch plate shelves and accent molding. The lovely breakfast room has an original built in china cabinet and a view of the private flower and fruit tree park and the organic garden in the back. There are 2 pine staircases leading to the second floor, 11 foot ceilings throughout downstairs and upstairs. There is a half-bath located near the second staircase which has original tile from 1912. The formal front staircase boasts two original stained glass windows. As Greek Revival Homes do not traditionally display prominent chimneys towards the front, an electric fireplace with mantle is in a front room. In keeping with tradition, there is no chimney; however, upstairs in a guest bedroom, there is a fireplace and chimney. Many inside doors have transom windows. The home has four bedrooms, but one, on the second floor, has been converted into a wonderful library with floor to ceiling bookcases. On the second floor, a large guest bedroom, overlooking the front yard is located. This bedroom has a long cedar closet and outside porch. There is a front upstairs balcony with a screen door for fresh air. The master bedroom and bathroom are huge . For storage or workshop, there is a basement and also a tool/storage shed in the back yard. There is an attic for storage, also and in the attic are spare original tiles for the roof, if needed. The kitchen is spacious and has pantry and cabinets. There are inside porches located on both floors which have separate air conditioning systems and one- half bathroom. The laundry room, with washer and dryer and half-bath, is located in the back porch bathroom.
