What I love
All rooms are large, downstairs celings 10', with triple crown molding in living room, and den/library, picture rail in all rooms. Great stairwell, with 1/2 bath, and entrance to basement/laundry, with 3 platforms on the staircase. I love the views, you see fireworks on 4th of July, and every weekend in June from the "Conserts in the Garden". The backyard has 80 year old pecan tree, which shades the entire yard. All bedrooms are upstairs, master w/private bath, front bedrooms have built in window boxes and doors leading to balcony (true Widow's walk). One bedroom with French door leading to sleeping porch. Sleeping porch, and both secondary bedrooms with built in book cases, and one w/built in desk. Bathrooms have original "chicken wire" tile floor, original corner sink in 1/2 bath, and original pedestal sink is stored in garage ready if new owner would like to return upstairs bath to originality. Tub is also original w/nickle faucets. The windows are almost floor to celing in breakfast area which gives the feeling of dining al fresco. Neighbors actually walk, talk, and enjoy life here. This is a great neighborhood, with sidewalks, candle stick lamp posts, and views of the Botanic Gardens, and Trinity Park from your home. Most homes were built in the early 1920's. This home is located on the north end of Mistletoe Dr. with great views of Will Rogers MC. During the winter you can see downtown from the master bedroom. Just off I-30, and close to everything. Home zoned schools are the best in FWISD, Lily B. Clayton Elementary, McLean 6th Grade Center, McLean Middle School, and Paschal High School. So close to the zoo you often hear the lion roar! Kids come from all parts of the city to Trick-or-Treat in Mistletoe Heights, and the neighborhood welcomes visitors with elaborate decorations, and haunted houses! People also come from all parts of the city to view fireworks on the 4th of July. We also have a neighborhood 4th of July parade, with marching band, home made floats, decorated dogs & bikes, followed by our ice cream social. During the Christmas season we decorate the lamp posts with ribbons and garland. The Easter Bunny also visits Mistletoe Heights every year, leaving candy all over Newby Park! Active neighborhood Association that actually makes our voice heard in city government issues. Mistletoe Heights continues to be a very strong real estate market, as it has for the last 20 plus years.More Less
