What I love
Living here is like living in a park-- our sunny, large yard is like its own meadow. Our neighbors are just right: not so driven and materialistic as you might find elsewhere, but comfortable, principled, thinking, and yes, hip, people who love to tend their gardens, walk their dogs, work on their homes, and live a modest, thoughtful life. We think that's something that's hard to assess when you're looking to buy-- but something that proves to make all the difference later on. The area is beautiful-- well-tended yards, some old farm-feeling areas from when north Seattle was relatively rural, stunning views of the Cascades peaking through. As far as our house, it is a loved place filled with charm-- everything from the brick, to just-right spaces, to ultra efficient in both storage capacity and utility-usage. We have done a lot to update it-- and planned to add on. Alas, with the changing market, our family has grown too large and our plans haven't worked out. We are loathe to sell, but willing to explore the idea if the right opportunity popped up.Neighborhood Description
