My Notes

Edit
This home is a two story home with the main living space on the floor you enter on. There are three bedrooms on the first floor and two baths (the master bedroom has its own bathroom). There is a finished basement which has a game/pool room containing a full pool table, fireplace and bar with sink (and freezer). The laundry room and an adjoining room which was a bedroom (but would make a wonderful exercise room) is also on this floor, along with a bathroom, a very large workshop and a door to the patio. The whole house has been repainted inside and the hardwood floors have just been refinished with a Swedish finish.
Neighborhood Description
This home is right on the bus line making it easy to commute to downtown or any place else that Metro travels. It is just uphill from the saltwater park known as Carkeek Park and a very short distance from Golden Gardens Park. The house is within 1 mile of several grocery stores and 5 miles from Northgate Shopping Center and Interstate 5. You are in the City but when you are in the back yard you feel like you live in the country!. Across the street is property that will not be developed due to the angle of the property, giving you a lush green view. The schools in the area are part of the Seattle School District and the elementary school is less than one mile down Third Avenue.

What I love about the home

This home has a large lovely terraced backyard. It is an oasis in the City, planted with a variety of plants and flowers, including numerous rhodies and roses with two patios (upper and lower) in the backyard ready for large garden parties. The front yard is fenced in and the flowerbeds make this a colorful and private yard. The newly finished hardwood floors bring warmth to this home and the large picture windows bring the sunshine to brighten even your gloomiest day. There are two wood burning fireplaces, one upstairs and one downstairs in the gameroom, which is outfitted with a bar and pool table. Just a few steps up from the gameroom you will be on the beautiful patio, creating an extension of your garden party! This family room/game room is next to a large workshop for those who love working on special projects. On this floor there is a bathroom and a laundry room. Outside of the laundryroom is a room you can make into a bedroom, exercise room, TV room, or whatever your imagination desires.

Market guide

Zillow predicts Broadview home values will rise 8.6% next year, compared to a 7.6% rise for Seattle as a whole. Among Broadview homes, this home is valued 12% more than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 37.1% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In Broadview, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 77.6% lower than in Seattle, and 79% less than the national average. This lower local number could help Broadview home values rise more quickly than other regions in Seattle.
