The condo has 2-floors. The entire top floor is a master suite, with built-in closets, and office (desk, built-in filing cabinets, etc.) as well as a master bath. There are two full bathrooms, ductless A.C. on both floors, brand new hot water heater, and a brand new gas furnace. In addition, this unit has exclusive use of the driveway, which can park 2-3 cars, and there is still room for a BBQ area, either at the top of the driveway, or in the side yard. The side yard is a good size, and gets a lot of sun. New wooden fence installed in spring of 2009.
There is private laundry with extra-large sized washer and dryer in the basement, which is easily accessed by the back stairs.
What I love about the home
Space, privacy and access to all amenities. The master suite is on the top floor - and it provides us and our guests with more privacy than is typically available in a condominium in the metro-boston area. There is a full bathroom on the first floor, and another attached to the master bedroom on the second floor. There are various places to escape, if so desired - from a reading room/study to a separate living room, to the office that is part of the open-floor plan master suite on the second floor. The second bedroom also has a small nook that allows us to keep a desk in there, in addition to a queen-sized bed, and we have used that part of the room as a small second office, or to provide guests with a work space, if needed. The amount of space, and privacy afforded us, make it easy and enjoyable to entertain friends and family. In addition, we love the neighborhoods that surround us - the condo is equidistant to both Davis and Porter Squares (10 minutes, walking), and we will be approximately 3-4 blocks from one of the green line stops, if a Lowell Street stop is put in when the green line is extended through Union Square, and into Medford. We are approximately 15 minutes walking distance from Union Square, and 20+ minutes walking distance from Inman and Harvard Squares. In addition, proximity to the bike bath has been a huge positive. We also like our neighbors, so that doesn't hurt, either.
