My Notes

Edit
Spacious and Bright 2800sqft bungalow (not your typical cramped s. Mpls bungalow mind you) that looks down on the Mississippi River. New hardwood floors, High ceilings and TONS of windows let in lots of light and make the house feel much bigger than it looks. The upstairs has 4 spacious and separated bedrooms, with one more large bedroom/study on the main floor with private entrance through the screen porch. The home has a luxurious new kitchen with heated floors, and best of all the home has access to all areas of Minneapolis and St.Paul including miles and miles of trails both at water and bluff level on the river. To be truthful, this home is 100+ years old and have a couple small rough spots but altogether it is a stunning place to call home. Last thought: The footprint and upstairs level are perfectly set up to raise the roofline, possible combine some of the bedrooms, or combining one of the bedrooms with the bathroom to form a new incredibly large master suite, among other things.

What I love about the home

Location, Location Location! Sun. The View. The kitchen. The potential. The front porch. The solid construction. The basement storage space. The bridal veil water fall is literally across the street.

Market guide

Zillow predicts Prospect Park home values will decrease 1.3% next year, compared to a 1.2% rise for Minneapolis as a whole. Among Prospect Park homes, this home is valued 34.8% more than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 31.8% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In Prospect Park, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 36.9% lower than in Minneapolis, and 28.5% higher than the national average. This lower local number could help Prospect Park home values rise more quickly than other regions in Minneapolis.
