Welcome to 1214-29th Avenue the undeniable Queen of the Parkway Terrace neighborhood. Parkway Terrace is bordered by 27th and 33rd Avenues and by Lincoln Way on the North and Irving Street on the South. The neighborhood is identified by the rounded benches and plaques, which are inscribed with "Parkway Terrace", many of which are preserved and still visible today. Parkway Terrace was originally developed around 1916 by Fernando Nelson and Sons. The developer modeled this neighborhood after Presidio Terrace, where he had built homes, including his own. This neighborhood with wide lots enabled him to build grand detached homes. Fernando Nelson developed this group of homes as an elite and "restricted" enclave.
