What I love
There are several things. For being a home that was built around the turn of the last century, this house is completely modern and up to date. The materials used are top of the line. Even though this house is on a tropical island off the coast of Texas, this property is surrounded by 150 year old Oak trees. 37 oversized windows make walking through this home a bright and airy experience. Lounging in the sunroom off the master is like being in a tree house. A nearby bird sanctuary makes mornings a delight, its like having coffee with the birds. Galveston Island is known for its history, entertainment, dining, shopping, art galleries and beaches. The East End Historical District is within walking distance or bike ride of all of these amenities. This district is about 40 square blocks of sprawling Victorian and Craftsman style homes dating back to the 1850's.
