What I love
Although it's just one turn off busy 126th South, this home at the end of the cul-de-sac on a gravel private road feels secluded and private. I often fly my small model airplanes over my ample back yard, and the annual fruit harvests of sweet green apples, plums, apricots, and more make for good eating straight off the tree, and great jam. With a huge, two-story outbuilding, I have no lack of space for various projects. The home features 6" walls for efficient heating and cooling, and the three-foot fire pit and concrete patio in the back are great for entertaining.Neighborhood Description
The Critters Cove community abuts the Sunday Drive community, and is near the Western Springs subdivision. With only seven homes on a private drive, we are a pretty tight-knit group. Four of the seven homes have working-class parents and multiple children still living at home. One home is currently vacant, one houses an older couple, and the older couple rent out the property on the corner from time to time. All the families along the street own dogs, who have plenty of room to run on the one to two-acre lots. Several also own or stable horses, cows, pigs, and other livestock from time to time. The area is zoned for livestock, so if you love animals, this neighborhood is great. With close ties to the Western Springs community to the west, and children who use the Western Springs park within easy walking distance, a growing family will feel right at home here. The nearby canal path is nice for serene evening walks along church-owned farmland, and the Herriman library and numerous other parks are also within easy walking distance. It's a laid-back community, and although the large lots don't lead to a lot of socializing, everybody is friendly with everyone else.More Less
