My Notes

A comfortably furnished room is available for rent in a cozy brick house owned by an artistic Euro-geek. The house has an old piano, two kittens (httpyoutu.be/ZRnUqYs4Cbc), and a vegetable garden. All it needs is you -- a tenant who would appreciate its calm comfort, mildly disturbed only on Sundays when my two elementary-school-aged, well-behaved daughters come to visit.In addition to its stylish Ikea bed, the room comes with a closet, classic chest of drawers, and original artwork on its walls (feel free to redecorate). The utilities are included but so is a sense of community with unlimited use of a fully equipped kitchen (I love to cook and share meals), laundry and dryer, bathroom, piano, wifi, and Netflix.The location is surprisingly accessible! I work in Foggy Bottom and it takes me 15-20 min by car via Rt. 50, 30-40 min via the 16 Y Express Metrobus on Columbia Pike, or 50-60 min by bike on Four Mile Run / Mt. Vernon Trail.I had lived for years in the Ballston area and was not aware how much South Arlington had to offer until I moved here. What is nearby?- Four Mile Run Trail - 1 min by bike, 3 min by walk.- Wakefield High School and its newly built swimming pool - 5 min by walk.- Arlington Mill with its the farmer's market, community center and gym - 10 min by walk- Shirlington with its theatre, cinema, library and restaurants - 5 min by car, 15 min by bike, 30 min by walk.- The Kennedy Center with its endless list of uplifting performances - 14 min by car, 50 min by bike.- The White House with Michelle, Barrack, the kids, the garden, and the bee hive - 15 min by car, 50 min by bike.$800 per month with utilities included. 1 month deposit required.
