My Notes

A beautiful brick and beam home in the Waterfront area of the historic North End on the best street in the North End. This condo feels spacious with a 9 foot ceilings and open layout living room. Completely remodeled and renovated kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen features rich maple cabinets extending to the ceiling and Verde Matisse granite counter top from Italy. The bathroom features hand made tiles, limestone flooring and Italian calcutta marble vanity. Bedrooms are spacious for the size of this condo. Red oak hardwood floors throughout. Professionally installed closets in both bedrooms. Deeded storage in basement. Low condo fees. Building common areas were recently updated.
Neighborhood Description
Fulton Street is a quiet, tree lined one-way street on the Waterfront area of the North End. Stepping outside the condominium you will constantly smell the confluence of fresh sea air from the Boston Harbor and dishes being prepared by one of the many nearby restaurants. Known as the "Little Italy" area, the North End is the home of great restaurants, shops and parks. Fulton Street is completely residential, but just one block away in any direction, you will find convenient stores for local and imported groceries and day-today items. Fulton gets very little traffic, even though it is two blocks from the new gardens of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway and Quincy Market. With the Big Dig done, and the parks nearly all completed, this Fulton Street location has both the nineteenth century waterfront merchants charm and the modern city culture.

What I love about the home

The open layout, design of the kitchen, tall spacious cabinets, beautiful granite. Location is the best in the north end - quiet, tree lined, extra wide street, steps from Hanover St, Faneuil Hall and the waterfront/Christopher Columbus Park. The high ceilings and exposed beams really add to the space. The newly renovated bathroom makes you feel like you're in a luxury hotel.

Market guide

Zillow predicts North End home values will increase 3.8% next year, compared to a 1.6% increase for Boston as a whole. Among North End homes, this home is valued 0.6% less than the midpoint (median) home, and is valued 7.7% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In North End, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 27.9% lower than in Boston, and 60.4% lower than the national average. This lower local number could help North End home values rise more quickly than other regions in Boston.
