Very large colonial-style home on double corner lot on desirable and historic Strong Avenue a bit west of downtown. Large kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, Designer Ayr cabinets and ceramic tiled floor. 500 sq. ft. family room has a wood burning fireplace and lots of built in bookcases. All four bathrooms are ceramic tiled and 4 have showers, three have bathtubs. 500 sq, ft, master bedroom is private and has an en suite bathroom with double sinks and a closet room. Formal dining and living rooms with crown molding and lots of built in cupboards and shelving. Formal foyer with chandelier and parquet flooring. Extra rooms include a first floor office and a 2nd story enclosed sunroom with lots of built-in drawers, closets and shelves. Seriously, this is a home where you will not yearn for more storage. All bedrooms, except master have built-in dressers in the closets and built-in cupboards. One even has a chandelier. There is also a 2nd story deck off the sunroom, overlooking the large custom in-ground pool, which has a brand new liner, pump and piping. The backyard is enclosed with a 6 ft. privacy fence and a 4 ft. privacy fence encloses the pool - very safe for children. The basement, which is not included in the square footage is partially finished - has a rec room. There are 4 other rooms- laundry, storage, tools, furnace. Incredible construction on this home - foundation is poured concrete - not subflooring and house is supported by 8-inch I-beams. Beautiful landscaping - raised garden beds, a three level pond, wonderful trees. 2 buildings in backyard - pool house and another building at rear of property which is 1/2 cedar lined sauna and 1/2 potting shed. Elementary school is 2 blocks. middle school is 4 blocks. 2 car attached garage with electric openers. In-ground sprinking system. Double-pane side opening windows. Home is move-in ready. I love it but I have raised my 4 children here and my husband recently died so it is time for another family to make lifelong memories here. 

What I love about the home

I think I said it above, but as an antique dealer, I really appreciate the solid wood doors, moldings, brasswork and all the special features of an older home. Especially, since this one has 200 amp electric, central air, gas forced heat and all the conveniences of a new home.
