My Notes

Edit
This home itself is a mixture of old and new; owned by the same family for three generations, but renovated to reflect modern times and needs. Recent updates include the roof, furnace, A/C unit, appliances, both bathrooms, electrical panel, the waterproofed basement, deck, back siding and the front and rear fences!
Not just a home, but a Baltimore City Lifestyle!
Neighborhood Description
Baltimore is a unique place; all the culture and vibrancy of a Big City combined with the sensibilities of individual small town neighborhoods! Each neighborhood has its own personality brought to life by the people, the shops, restaurants, bars and the history. Federal Hill is no exception. It was named in 1789, derived from a parade celebrating the ratification of the new Federal constitution that was completed on top of the Hill. The neighborhood is terrifically situated between all the activities of the Inner Harbor (a short walk or Charm City Circulator ride) and the history of Ft. McHenry (the celebration of the bicentennial of the war of 1812 is coming!), is near both sports stadiums (M&T Bank Stadium can be seen from this home's front porch) and the American Visionary Arts Museum and the National Aquarium. Federal Hill itself is old charm and modern renovations, its architecture and cobblestone streets, and some of the City's best pubs, restaurants and shops, all set against history's backdrop, the local festivals (Spring Block Party, Jazz and Blues Fest) and pub crawls, the Cross Street Market (dating back to 1846) and parks. The Hill is a close but welcoming community, with some of the residents dating back generations along with those that have only recently settled on the hill.  More Less

Market guide

Zillow predicts SBIC home values will rise 0.5% next year, compared to a 0.2% fall for Baltimore as a whole. Among SBIC homes, this home is valued 5% less than the midpoint (median) home, and is valued 33.2% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In SBIC, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 41.2% less than in Baltimore, and 64.8% higher than the national average. This lower local number could help SBIC home values rise more quickly than other regions in Baltimore.
