One of the choicest locations in San Diego as most of the area has panoramic views of Mission Bay, Point Loma, and even to San Diego Bay. However, many of the homes in this neighborhood were constructed in the early 1970's and still belong to the original owners, retired, and haven't updated their houses. This is why there are beautiful, modern, multi-level homes with unobstructed views of the bay worth $2 Million across the street from a single-level unmaintained house straight out of the 70's worth less than half that. That being said, the zillow estimates here are waaaay off. Especially for the houses that haven't been sold in 2 decades. I know 1 with an unobstructable panoramic view that is worth well over a million and a half, and it is listed for 690k. Though this community sits on the same hill as the University of San Diego (USD), there is no through-traffic to the university. Aside from a barking dog here and there, it is a very peaceful and quiet, and little crime. Neighbors are friendly, lots of single families and retired folks. This is in contrast to the Morena district, which is down the hill, where you will often find transients and some local bars that attract some riff raff.More Less
