My Notes

Beautiful brick ranch in excellent older, quiet city neighborhood within two blocks of regional medical center. Large spaces with great flow for entertaining and comfortable living. Vaulted ceilings in foyer, den, guestroom and kitchen. Hallway and bedrooms have two-yr-old carpet, newly renovated private master bath has ceramic tile and walk-in shower. Newly renovated guest bath has slate tile flooring, carrara marble vanity top, beautiful full tub and shower. Two large masonry fireplaces (in den and in sunroom). Large deck, 20x30 attached garage, 12x40 unfinished (but pleasant) basement. Adorable garden cottage with country porch and storage loft. Home also has large office space next to dining room. Hardwood floors in den, dining, foyer and office, Saltillo tile in kitchen, natural slate in sunroom----loads of character! This home is a concrete construction with plaster sheathing inside and painted brick outside---it's a bunker and is extremely quiet even during storms. We've lived here 10+ years and it's been a haven.
Upgrades and renovations within last two years (or two weeks!) include: all new plumbing, new roof, two baths, carpet, some hardwood, HVAC.
This is a wonderful town and neighborhood with lots of delightful wildlife right in the heart of the city!

What I love about the home

We have enjoyed entertaining in this house, as it flows all around from foyer to dining room to kitchen to sunroom to den, back to foyer without people bumping into each other! The high ceilings give such a spacious feeling, and the sunroom is a great gathering place. Lots of natural light year-round, and deep eaves help maintain cool temperatures in the summer. Gas heat is SO COZY! Lots of closets. The neighbors range from retirees who have lived here 40-50 years, to young couples with kids. We have quarterly potluck gatherings in a host home. It's a "throwback" neighborhood where we look after each other and stop by for coffee. Lots of walkers and joggers. Restaurants, grocery stores, medical community all within one mile or less.
