Neo Dutch Colonial house built in 1917 with a small carriage house in the backyard. It has three bedrooms of which two are master bedroom size. We have one full bathroom in the main house, but another toilet and sink in the basement.

What I love about the home

The carriage house could be used for a small car but we park ours out front and use it for my BMW 1200 LT motorcycle and all of our bicycles. It still has the iron bar on the floor to keep the carriage from accidently rolling out! The basement is dry and makes a great man/dog room. Its where I go to get away from the women folk. I have a 5 foot diameter bean bag chair, my roll top desk, a tv and my aquarium in one half of the basement. The laundry area, heater, and hot water takes up a quarter with the toilet and stone sink. Tool storage shelving and pantry supplies (from Costco) takes up the final quarter. One set of stairs go from the basement to the 2nd floor. I like being able to walk downtown from the house in good weather, going nearly the whole way on 2nd avenue. I work just North of MACY's on Stewart and 3rd. Both my kids went to the elementary school across the street. The chief of police lives just three blocks away so our neighborhood is a low crime area. Seattle ranks as the 6th most walkable US city in the US. And in Seattle my homes Walk Score is 85 of 100. The buses are quiet electric trolleys.
