Located in Russian Hill a few minutes from the Financial District, North Beach and Nob Hill, this classic and historic San Francisco building was originally built in 1912 and substantially re-built and upgraded in 2002-2004 with major seismic construction, new foundation and roof, new plumbing and electrical systems, new double-paned thermal windows and new paint inside and out. Designed around a center atrium/courtyard, the 4-unit Edwardian won the lottery and has now been converted into condominiums which are being offered for the first time.1520 Mason is a two-level unit with master suite on the lower level opening to the center courtyard. The main level has a grand open living/dining room with lots of light, custom kitchen with solid oak cabinetry, imported Italian granite tile backsplashes and floor and stainless appliances. There are refinished fir floors throughout and two full bathrooms with oversized shower stalls with black Italian tile and extra large medicine cabinets plus a half bath on the main level. There is on-demand hot water at every fixture. Each bedroom has oversized closets with built-in shelving. The unit has a gracious connecting staircase between levels and a full entertainment bar on the lower level with sink, dishwasher, wine cooler and under-counter refrigerator. The unit shares a back patio and has access via the back stairs to the roof with views of Coit Tower and downtown.The dues will be set by the new HOA and are estimated to be around $340 a month.
