Located in Russian Hill a few minutes from the Financial District, North Beach and Nob Hill, this classic and historic San Francisco building was originally built in 1912 and substantially re-built and upgraded in 2002-2004 with major seismic construction, new foundation and roof, new plumbing and electrical systems, new double-paned thermal windows and new paint inside and out. Designed around a center atrium/courtyard, the 4-unit Edwardian won the lottery and has now been converted into condominiums which are being offered for the first time.1522 Mason has a grand open living/dining room with lots of light, a custom kitchen with entertainment bar, solid oak cabinetry, imported Italian granite tile backsplashes and floors and stainless appliances. There are refinished wood floors throughout. A full bath has an oversized black Italian granite tile shower stall and an extra large medicine cabinet. This unit has 3 bedrooms and a home office and there is a half bath off the living/dining area plus a large storage closet. The half bath could be converted to a laundry closet. There is on-demand hot water at every fixture and each bedroom has over-sized closets with built-in shelving. The unit shares a patio at the ground level and the back stairs offers access to the roof with views of Coit Tower and downtown.The dues will be set by the new HOA and are estimated to be around $300 a month.
