My Notes

Edit
This Lake Oswego Diamond Head road home is located at the end of a very private and exclusive dead-end street. Diamond Head is off of North Shore Road in Lake Oswego and hosts the row of the highest valued homes in all of Oregon. Perched above Lake Oswego and with access down to your own private dock, this beautiful private home feels like it is on top of the world. A walk across a nice courtyard brings you through the front door to a spectacular panoramic view of Lake Oswego. To the right is a very nice living room with a fireplace and bay windows. This leads out to an outside deck area, perfect for indoor/outdoor entertaining. Following the bank of windows to the left brings you to the dining room with wet bar area that feels like it is suspended over the water. The nicely sized kitchen features granite, stainless, double ovens and a sky light. Next to the kitchen there is an amazing breakfast nook that is built under a gazebo like structure with a skylight and windows out to a secret garden. Around the corner is a room, bathroom and closet that can be a master suite, office or den. This room has a window overlooking the courtyard as well as a very nice full bathroom. Also on the main floor is a laundry room and access to the attached two car garage. Upstairs has the master bedroom with a walk in closet, views, gas fireplace and a bath with a shower, bath tub, double sinks and of course - full lake views. The second bedroom upstairs is nicely sized and has a bathroom that also has a tub and a shower. The lower level contains a wine room and a large family room that could also be a master suite. This has a fireplace, a very nice bathroom and access to the outside. The back yard has a pathway down to the waterfront and dock. This home is located in front of the sunny "swim spot", a place where most lake residents park to swim in the clean, deep water. This home and location have the best of all worlds. Zillow predicts 97034 home values will rise 4.1% next year, compared to a 4.3% increase for Lake Oswego as a whole. Among 97034 homes, this home is valued 180.6% more than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 8% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In 97034, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 30% higher than in Lake Oswego, and 50.5% less than the national average. This higher local number may prevent 97034 home values from rising as quickly as other regions in Lake Oswego.
