My Notes

Edit
Forget the commute; leave the car at home and give yourself some family or "me" time. 3 blocks to Rosslyn metro. Built-in floor to ceiling bookcases in 2nd bedroom. Traditional look and feel, with crown molding, smooth ceilings (no popcorn), updated washer/dryer (2013), side-by-side refrigerator (2011) with ice/water dispenser, 9 ft ceilings in all rooms but bathrooms, including closets. Glass enclosed balcony with w/25 ft high ceiling. Outdoor pool, 2 tennis courts, a party room, a gym with free weights, weigh machines, and cardio trainers, a sauna, an in-building convenience store/valet/dry-cleaning shop, bike rooms, secure storage, public W/D machines if needed, 1 car garage parking space, 24 hour concierge/security desk.
Neighborhood Description
It's fairly quiet and tranquil on the 18th floor facing North. The floors and ceiling are concrete slab. This is the penthouse level, so there are no neighbors above. There is a lot of development in Rosslyn at the moment. In addition to a Safeway, Starbucks, Jimmy John's, Pier One Imports, CVS, Baja Fresh, Chipotle, Chopped, and good Chinese food within 5 minute's walk, there will be additional options in the near future, including a rumored Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's which will go into some of the new buildings under construction. Also, Rosslyn Metro is on the Orange/Blue (and soon Silver) lines, so there are multiple options going into DC and coming out. Rosslyn Metro also has a bus depot, which has normal Metro bus routes, as well as the Circulator and the Dulles Metro bus ($8.00 to Dulles Airport, one way - beats any cab or SuperShuttle price, and also beats leaving your car at Dulles for more than two days).

What I love about the home

Convenience and flexibility. Don't like carpet? Install hardwood floors. Don't like the built-in book cases? Take them out. Owning rather than renting gives you the options to fully express your creativity and personality. Both Verizon and Comcast offer Internet and Cable service to the building (FiOS and Xfinity respectively). No yard work is also a huge benefit, and the Belvedere has many community activities organized and orchestrated by your fellow Belvederians, including happy hours, bridge, poker, play readings, book clubs, etc. Both dogs and cats are allowed, so it is very pet friendly, and there seems to be growing number of families with children. Our neighbors in a one bedroom unit have a toddler, and we just had a baby a few months ago.
