Lovely old Spanish home with mid-century open light and air'y feel inside, beautifully refinished wood floors throughout, freshly painted, electrical upgrade throughout, new plumbing, fruit trees (fruit bearing) & lovely garden in both front & back w/herbs, Automatic irrigation system in both front and backyard, new windows, ceiling fans (greener & lower cost than air), and more.
Clean, modern, simple, tailored appearance inside and outside, very well laid out, not another house that looks like the owners 'tried a little bit too hard'.
Neighborhood Description
Gardner Street Elementary school is within WALKING distance and is an 'arts magnet' school. Truly a great and very coveted neighborhood - everybody knows everybody. Many creative people here and a few of us have lived in this neighborhood for 30+ years.
 

What I love about the home

This is a fantastic neighborhood - Gardner St. elementary school (API 800+) is within short SAFE walking/cycling distance (no need to walk along the main boulevards which, though are nearby). Main buslines are 1/2 a block away and the Metro less than a mile away. Very 'neighborly' neighborhood, good disabled access (one story with rear 'ramp-ready' access), quiet, and well maintained. Walk out of the master bedroom onto flowering vine-covered patio looking out on to garden which draws lots of song birds with separate dining and barbeque'ing area. Insulated & heated finished garage doubles as an art studio/workshop.
