Gorgeous custom home rebuilt in 2008 designed by Architect Rick Hartman.
Start with the location. You will not find a more perfect location to live. The house is located on a cul-de sac just a short walk to downtown Los Gatos. Yet the cul-de sac is very secluded. Additionally, houses only line one side of the street. The view out of the front yard is of a lovely wilderness area with a running stream as opposed to another house.
As soon as you step into the home, you will be struck by the level of quality. The custom French provincial kitchen has ample cabinets, professional stainless steel appliances, and a large island with its own full size sink, making two completely distinct work triangles. Gorgeous granite countertops complete the look.
The master suite is a thing of beauty. The massive master bedroom of approximately 400 square feet includes a fireplace and a wonderful view of the nature-filled backyard and gazebo, with exceptional privacy. Sleep with the shades open and enjoy the sunrise every morning.
The master bath is palatial. It includes a two-person shower with 15 body jets and a steam generator. The shower is lined with marble slab up the entire wall (yes, that's right, slab, not tile) that looks more like a work of art than a wall. The shower also includes aromatherapy and chromatherapy features. A two-person jacuzzi tub underneath and beautiful picture window provides an oasis of tranquility.
The master closet is larger than most bedrooms, and includes custom maple cabinetry (not the cheap particle-board stuff you find in other homes).
The backyard is something to behold. The main focal points are the triple waterfall next to a large gazebo. Sit out and enjoy lunch in the gazebo while listening to the sounds of the nearby waterfall. The waterfall and gazebo are designed to be visible from many rooms in the house. A large European paver patio is perfect for entertaining, along with a built-in BBQ island with its own sink and side burners. The BBQ is also equipped with a sound system to enjoy while outside entertaining, or just relaxing after work. You can also grow your own vegetables in the sizable organic vegetable garden.
This home is one of a kind and only a fraction of the luxury features of the home have been mentioned in this review.
Neighborhood Description
This home is located in the prestigious Glenridge neighborhood of Los Gatos, full of multimillion dollar homes. It is walking distance to downtown Los Gatos and yet secluded enough to be quiet and private.
