My Notes

Edit
17 & 18 Prince Street - AKA - Jasmine Manor Jasmine Manor is a garden compound located in the heart of Frederiksted's historic district. It is surrounded by beautiful stone walls topped with detailed wrought iron for beauty and security. The large garden area is home to ancient trees such as a massive African Baobob, Lignum Vitae, Sapadilla Mahogany and other flowering trees. The main house is a 200+ year old Danish Great House, the upstairs of which has been lovingly restored, maintaining the incredible architectural details. Inside the main home (second floor) are four bedrooms, two baths, and a large "great room" in the center of the building. The lower level of the home has the old kitchen and several rooms, which are waiting for restoration. There are also four apartments at Jasmine Manor which are currently being used as affordable vacation rentals for singles or couples. "Wood Cottage" is a free standing wood and stone cottage with a lovely covered porch, with a large combined sleeping/living area and full kitchen. There is a half bath inside Wood Cottage and a full bath with shower that is accessed off the covered porch and is very private.Three other apartments are located in an adjacent triplex. "Lower Love" is a larger one bedroom unit on the first floor. There is a lovely living/dining room with beautiful iron scroll work highlighting wood and stone walls."Upper Love" and "Rust Op Twist" are the two upper apartments that are accessed by a spiral staircase. They are both charming one-bedroom apartments with full kitchens and baths.Within a few blocks, guests can walk to sandy beaches, snorkeling, diving, bars, restaurants and shopping. Frederiksted's newly renovated waterfront is just a few blocks away to view incredible sunsets and the occasional "green flash." The 3rd Friday of every month is Frederiksted's famous free Sunset Jazz concert.Other great activities on the west end include hiking in the rainforest, horseback riding, boating, sailing, and jumping off the pier. Visit the Domino Club to see the beer drinking pigs and lime with the locals. Fort Fredriksted, Whim Museum, Laewetz Museum, historic churches and the Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts are all wonderful cultural experiences. This property presents a creative buyer with many options.
