My Notes

This beautiful view home has unmatched craftsmanship, inside and out. There is huge attention to detail and finishes. The kitchen has stainless steel Viking appliances and custom cabinets.
You can watch the city, ships and weather as you cook. All the bathrooms have Carrera marble on the walls. Norberry Tile, of Seattle, did the tile work. The spacious master suite has the best view of Seattle, in Seattle. A "disappearing Nana Wall" of glass opens to a private deck. The main floor has original two and half inch Douglas old growth fir
. The house is designed by architect Jill Sousa. She made this house one of the loveliest in Seatte.
Neighborhood Description
One can walk to the bank, the grocery store and Starbucks. Metro Market is the gourmet grocery store just up the street.
Alkai Beach is just below the house as is Salty's Restaurant and the pier for fishing and the passenger ferry.

What I love about the home

This house is immensly liveable, warm and inviting. It is a 10 minute drive to Seattle. In the summer and fall, you can catch the passenger ferry to town. There is almost no traffic in the neighborhood. One of the few homes in Seattle with an unencumbered 170 degree view from all 3 floors looking east to Seattle across Elliot Bay. It is one of the great views on earth. The architect was Jill Sousa, who worked for Susan Sarankha of "The Not So Big House" fame. It looks like the pefect "not so big house" with a spectacular, once in a lifetime view. The interior designer was Tiffany Biggs of Biggs Interior. The landscape architect was Fredrick Landscaping of Seattle. There is almost no maintenance yet, flowers bloom all year. Interior floors are 2.5 inch fir, which is almost unobtainable anywhere. The bathrooms are done in Carrera marble and mosaic tile. The master bedroom feels suspended in the air overlooking the bay. The theatre room has a porcelain floor,with radiant heat. Pine cabinets and bookshelves house a Magnilia HiFi system that has speakers in almost every room. The wet bar has a brushed stainless steel top. All the faucets are top of the line Franke and Kohler fixtures. The kitchen countertops are beautiful Red Dragon granite. They set off the Viking stainless steel appliances beautifully. The list goes on. It is the best house we have ever lived in.
