Enjoy the perks of the country while still being close to town! This 35+ acres is in a great location right off of Highway 6 between the US Forest Service and Potlatch High School. The property would be ideal as a small productive farm, currently planted in winter wheat and leased through the 2014 harvest. However, if you wanted to split the property for development into smaller parcels, there are multiple suitable building sites to choose from. There is also an existing well for domestic use but city water is available at the highway. The country home is in good condition and ready for a buyer to move in. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, the kitchen and living area make up the main floor which is approx 1136 sq ft. The upper floor consists of approx 488 sq ft and features two additional rooms which could be used as an office or extra storage space. Downstairs is an approx. 1040 sq ft unfinished basement with a wood stove. Outbuildings at the home site include a detached 1 car garage and a 36ft x 24ft storage shed. The large yard has mature shade trees, a garden area and potential for even more landscaping.The farm lies just on the outskirts of the community of Potlatch, Idaho. Potlatch was originally founded by Potlatch Lumber Company as a company town and once boasted being the location of the largest sawmill in the world. The rich history of this community can be found at the historic Potlatch Depot. Potlatch also lies along the White Pine Scenic Byway close to year round recreational activities such as hunting, fishing and camping. The Laird Park Campground in the Clearwater National Forest which has a swim park and trails is only about 20 minutes from Potlatch.
