This is a home in which the owner(s) set a "dream price" - a price they'd be willing to sell it for, as well as to test the waters and gauge interest. This property is not found on a multiple listing service (MLS).

My Notes

Edit
Territorial view on a quarter-acre lot. Bright, breezy upstairs with maple hardwood floors (FSC certified) opens to deck (replaced 2012) and natural stonework. Daylight basement (remodeled 2014) opens to backyard with apple trees and 100 ft^2 of raised garden beds amid natural stonework. Open, modern kitchen and dining room plan (remodeled 2013), with custom cherry cabinetry, gas range and up-to-date appliances surrounding an 8' quartz-topped island. Two-car, attached garage opens to large driveway adjoining the gardens. Replaced A/C and heating system in 2014. Downstairs ready for MIL conversion, or enjoy lower level bedroom, remodeled bath and laundry with custom tile work, with custom tile lower landing into garage (remodeled 2014) as a mud-room, and large den.

What I love about the home

Quiet neighborhood with a mix of retirees and young families. Highline School District. The nearest schools are Marvista, Pacific and Mt. Rainier. Walkable distance to grocery, shops, parks, Puget Sound, excellent schools. Territorial view, with glimpses of the Sound and the Olympics. Transit to downtown in 30 minutes; drive in 15 minutes on the underutilized WA509--of the city but not in the city. Nearby Burien has added significant shopping and restaurants, and the nearby, in-progress light rail extension opens more transit options.

Neighborhood: 98166

Zillow predicts 98166 home values will rise 7.7% next year, compared to a 8.1% increase for Normandy Park as a whole. Among 98166 homes, this home is 52.9% more expensive than the midpoint (median) home, and is priced 8.3% more per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In 98166, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 5.6% higher than in Normandy Park, and 42.9% higher than the national average. This higher local number may prevent 98166 home values from rising as quickly as other regions in Normandy Park.
