First and foremost.. I LOVE THIS HOUSE...and you will too!   Built in 1938 (with an interesting history). An addition was added in 1970's  with current extensive remodeling completed. Sits on 0.55 acres  with level lot in a very private, peaceful setting. There are rolling pastures via back of property and remote mountain views.  Exterior finish is stone and vinyl siding. Indoor is hardwood and tile. This house  is very spacious and has many amenities. The property has the most magnificent (75-100Yr) oaks and maples (lining the drive and on the property).   These trees reduce the heat by  nearly 10 degrees in the summer! Exceptional landscaping thoroughout. It is approximately 15 minutes to Asheville, and 1 mile to the Fairview Fire Station . It is only a short distance to both elementary/middle /or local high schools.   This is the PERFECT house for children, animals (both dog and cat doors) garden, entertaining or relaxation lovers. The house has 4 BR  with closets (or 3 with study/office/TV room). There are 2 baths. The main level is 1874 sq ft.  A cement basement  adds an additional 1000 sq feet heated space exceeding 7 feet, and is used for a gym and wine room. Added was a large deck with pergola for entertaining,  a 2- person jacuzzi (HEAVENLY!), and indoor/outdoor surround sound for your favorite music.  There are 2  porches, my favorite is the front sunset porch.  The 3 bay carport can handle just about anything and still has more room for storage of lawn equipment (riding lawn mower included with sale), a stocked wood pile and  additional outside buildings used as a tool shed and gardening room. There is a large kitchen with added sky lights and a breakfast nook. Stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and disposal. Washer/dryer also included.   The formal dining room has been the focal point for many a festive holiday gathering. The large, inviting living room is bright and airy with the first of two wood stove fireplaces. The entire house is cable or satellite ready. One side of the  basement is the perfect place for a work-out room, kids playroom or a man cave (i.e., loving referred to as the "man in the dog house" cave). This room also comes with a cedar closet (which smells great). The opposite side includes your own wine cellar ( for you wine snobs)..CHEERS!!! Updated electrical box.  Hot water heater with water conservation timer. House filtration system. Sump pump. Private well (550 ft) serviced 2011.  Gravel  drive (**Road maintenance will be required).  3 year old roof with a manufacturer shingle warranty of 30 years and copper aluminum gutters. Large attic with pull down stairs adds even more room/storage. High efficiency house fan. Roll out windows with screens. Ceiling fans thoughout. Oil/steam heat via high efficiency (2006) furnace having been serviced recently. Side and back yard fencing with decorative stone work.Electric bills generally run ($75-150) depending on weather. Property taxes app ($1300) with no increase since 2005. Current property survey.  Willing to add Home Warranty with sale. There are more wonderful things about this house but I am running out of room.
