Villa Polo is a fully furnished or unfurnished move in ready estate considered one of the finest examples of a California Romantica style home. It is the original Santa Barbara Polo Club built by the famous designers, Francis T Underhill (Main House) and Herbert Beyer (1,000 foot Artists Studio) one of the founders of the German Bau Haus School. The club was converted to a house in 1929 and total remodeled in the last 5 years. This 6,000+ main house accepts families of all sizes with privacy for all. The 12 inch thick concrete and steel walls and ceilings provide a very high standard of safety newly retrofitted and create the greatest privacy in a home. Totally redone with radiant floors thermostat in each room, CAT 5 in every room, complete household systems kitchens, bathrooms fixture and furnishings.
I have set the rent below market for people who will enjoy and gently use the house as I have.
Neighborhood Description
Estate area walking distance to the village, yet understated and quiet. Very private estate behind 8 foot walls.
The rent includes two homes on the property and is rented fully furnished with major art work. Can be rented unfurnished for additional fee. Main house is approximately 5,500 square feet and the second house/Artists studio is 1,200 square feet. Finishing total rehab curvy building covered lap pool and spa with wireless controls. $3,000 monthly deduction if not finished when moving in.
 

What I love about the home

Every room has its own thermostat and sound system. Choose your own personal music from your Ipod, Pandora, CDs or FM. Furnishings are all top of the line. Floors are wide plank maple and travertine. Every room is heated with a room controlled radiant heating system. The entire house is energy star efficient, the pool and cover are all low water usage as are the grounds and the heating and cooling is the most efficient systems made. Low cost maintenance in every respect. Cutting flower gardens, fruit trees, Eucalyptus, Italian Cypress, night blooming Jasmine a very Mediterranean look and feel. A 15 yard lap pool with a whirlpool for six right off of the bedrooms makes this such a nice experience day or night. Totally redone low water maintenance gardens.
