My Notes

Edit
This custom-built six bedroom plus, five bath home captures the refined ambiance of an earlier era. Its hand-trowel exterior plaster, antique terracotta roof tiles from Provence, France, and many arched windows evoke classic elegance. It features high ceilings, a selection of elegant limestone, onyx and marble, fireplaces imported from France and hand-painted tile murals from Portugal. At approximately 6, 187 all-in total square feet, and an impressively designed layout, this home provides for easy family living and ample space for entertainment. Inside and out, the home presents a warm color palette enhanced by craftsman plaster, an array of hand carved wood finishes and hand wrought iron staircases, gate and handrails. Double pane custom made wood doors and windows by Bend River and Sash, including lead windows in the living room and office and arched windows in the nook and upstairs sun room, add to the Mediterranean charm. The foyer opens to a cascading stairway, highlighted by a dramatic chandelier recovered from the San Francisco Palace Hotel after the 1906 Earthquake and creating a memorable first impression. Located off the foyer is a formal living room with a 19th Century French marble fireplace and a formal dinning room with decorative ceiling and antique wall sconces. The large chef's kitchen is professionally equipped and designed for large party entertaining. The adjoining traditional style butler's pantry with onyx counter-top leads to a spacious formal dining room with Moorish style molding. A casual dining area with built-in round nook bench, family room with floor to ceiling stone fireplace and an office complete the elegant lower level. The upstairs features a total of four bedrooms and four baths and a laundry room. The spacious master bedroom that opens to a large sun-room with a stucco fireplace and an outdoor patio.
