My Notes

This cozy cottage has been the perfect first home for us and would also make a great retirement home. Young families will have the luxury of all new Columbia County schools for their children to attend. Baker Place Elementary, the new Columbia Middle School & Grovetown High School are all within walking distance and all have been built in the last few years. There are convenient restaurants and shopping at the front entrance of the neighborhood, with Patriots Park recreation area also close by. The home is located in the back of a quiet cul-de-sac, directly across the street from Sylvan Lake which has a paved walking path around the shore. When you step onto the covered rocking chair front porch of your new home, you will be pleasantly surprised as you open the front door to a great room with a high vaulted ceiling, gas log fireplace, built-in shelving for media/books and a planters shelf above. Beadboard accents the stairwell and all first level walls below the chair rail. The dining/breakfast nook area gives way to a spacious kitchen with additional cabinets & pantry along with added counter space opposite the range. In the front left side of the home is a coat closet, washer/dryer area, linen closet, 2nd bedroom & full bathroom. The master suite is in the back left of the home, complete with tray ceiling, walk-in closet, attached master bathroom and sitting area. Walk up the short two flights of stairs to an open loft/office area that overlooks the great room and into the 3rd bedroom that has been converted into an exercise/craft room with additional closet shelving. There are two walk-in attic spaces on either side of the upstairs 3rd bedroom, which is also where the gas furnace and gas water heater (replaced in 2010) both reside. The capacitor in the AC unit was recently replaced and blows extremely cold air! Additional amenities include the attached 1 car garage and large fenced-in backyard with a concrete patio area and a custom-built 10'x10' shed for additional storage of lawn equipment/tools/etc. All Whirlpool appliances were new when we purchased the home in 2008, including Washer, Dryer, Refrigerator, Dishwasher and Electric Range. The range was replaced again last year. All appliances may be included with the purchase of the home. This home is best viewed in person; call today to schedule a walk-through!
