My Notes

Edit
A big strapping 3-story brick Victorian that's 1/2 a double, but the entire look is of a huge brick home with a giant covered wooden front porch. Open plan first floor, 3 bedrooms and antique full bath with clawfoot tub on 2nd floor. Third floor mother-in-law apartment with a second kitchen (easily-converted), two big rooms, a full bath and cedar closet. Big central staircase, mostly hardwood floors. In addition to other improvements, I added two big closets on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Neighborhood Description
People love living in Pt. Breeze! Only minutes to Shadyside, Oakland and universities and seven minutes to downtown on the East Busway. Awesome, friendly, safe city neighborhood with lots of young professionals, longtime residents, kids & dogs. Down the block is a family-owned corner market & deli, barbershop, auto mechanic, and daycare canter. There are several great neighborhood restaurants nearby, including the Frick Arts & Historical Center and 500-acre Frick Park one block away. Within one mile are the East End Food Coop, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market.

What I love about the home

To start with, what a great neighborhood! The house is large and very peaceful. It's cool in the summer (only rarely need A/C) with a wonderful front porch and fenced backyard. Surrounded by big trees and there's an idyllic view of an old stone church out back. It's just a block to Frick Park. Big eat-in kitchen, two gas fireplaces (I didn't hook them up, but you could). The 3rd floor is like a separate apartment or a great home office. The roof is flat and would make an outstanding rooftop deck. Loads of storage in a dry basement. Morning sun hits the rear of the house and the yard; the front porch and rooms (including the master bedroom glow with the late afternoon sun and sunset.
