My Notes

This beautiful private colonial is located in the desirable McAfee farms neighborhood. The first floor features a two story foyer and open concept kitchen, dining area and living room with cathedral ceilings. Also on the first floor is a formal dining area and office. The first floor is hardwood oak flooring with new carpeting in the living room. The second floor has a loft area overlooking the living room as well as four bedrooms, laundry room and all new carpeting throughout. The master bedroom has a full master bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and his and hers vanities as well as a walk in closet. This home features approximately 1400 sq ft of outdoor living space with a western facing farmers porch and large deck, large screened in porch and balcony off the master bedroom facing over the back yard. This home also features a 3 car garage, full basement, attic space, a backyard shed which doubles as an observatory, dog fence, gen-trans wired for generator and an irrigation system. 

What I love about the home

The Bedford school system is tops, not just in the area, but nationally recognized as well. Forbes magazine rated it the second best public school system in America. I've raised two daughters in this town, one is off to college and the other is packing her bags and leaving soon, that's why this home is going on the market. My daughters have both thrived in this environment, including one who needed special ed (504 plan), and the BEEP (Bedford Early Education Program) plan delivered wonderfully. I've also enjoyed the tight knit community of McAfee farms, with our annual block parties, golf tournaments, Holiday celebrations, etc... I've enjoyed countless evenings sitting on the farmers porch watching the sun go down and enjoying the occasional evening thunderstorms. I've enjoyed countless evenings sitting in the observatory (yes, you read that right) in the back yard. There's not much I don't love about living in Bedford, NH and in this house in particular, but as the kids get ready to go to college, there's no reason for me to have a four bedroom home in this lovely community, so it's time for someone else to start their own family and take advantage of all this home and this area have to offer. One thing that makes this home unique is it's all about outdoor living. While the interior of the home is beautiful, bright and airy, the exterior of the house has 1400 sq ft of combined decks, porches and sun deck. The back of the house has a 16x60' deck which includes a 16x16' screened in porch (my daughter moves her bed out here in the summer time, it's her favorite place in the house), on top of the screened porch is a sun deck that is accessed through the master bedroom closet. The screened porch is wired for satellite TV as I've enjoyed countless Red Sox games from the back deck. On the front of the house is a beautiful farmer's porch which is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee and evening playtime with the kids.
